When an outbreak of an infectious disease strikes, a matter of hours can make all the difference.
An SNF grant as part of its Global Health Initiative (GHI) supports Resolve to Save Lives’ Rapid Response Fund in South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uganda. The fund is designed to provide swift, flexible financing during public health emergencies that can enable the relevant experts to contain outbreaks early. Within 48 hours of an outbreak being detected, partners like national health agencies are able to access funds and mount an immediate outbreak investigation and response.
Rapid response support is meant to act as a bridge to larger-scale funding, a rapid investment to help prevent costly epidemics and save lives across Africa.
This grant builds on SNF’s support for Resolve to Save Lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
